Meet Dr. Rita Medrano

Rita Medrano, O.D., earned her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1997. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Texas A&M University - College Station in 1993.

Dr. Medrano specializes in general optometry, with a focus on adult and pediatric care. Her interest in optometry began when she received her first pair of glasses at a young age and noticed a significant improvement in her vision. This personal experience inspired her to pursue a career in the medical field, ultimately leading her to optometry.

One of the aspects Dr. Medrano enjoys most about being an O.D. is the opportunity to meet and assist a diverse range of individuals. She finds great satisfaction in enhancing her patients' vision, knowing that it significantly improves their quality of life.

Outside of work, Dr. Medrano enjoys spending time with her family, especially traveling and going on camping trips during the summer. Throughout the school year, she likes to support her daughters in their cheerleading and school activities.
